The book “The Secret Circle, The Hunt” is a book about a group of friend who are witches that have powers and are trying to defeat evil while there is witch hunters trying to target them and kill them. The author did well in explaining the characters and giving specific details about the things they were doing, the places they were at and the spells that they were saying. I really like the way the author L.J. Smith put a line in the book to show that the setting was changing and I also really like the way she went into detail and it made me be able to visualize what the character’s were doing. I would recommend this book to people that love to read about witches and evil, because this book is about the group of friends that are witches and how they are trying to defeat evil. A quote I really like from the book was, “The book is the problem, Cassie thought, but also the solution…, minutes passed before she realized she was holding the book without being burned” (Smith 100)I really like this quote, because she was saying to herself even though the the book was one of her problems it also had the answers to her problems and also she then realized she was being able to hold the book because she was turning evil. Another quote I liked is “When her grandmother died, she took all her years of knowledge and wisdom with her. She was irreplaceable” (Smith 32), I liked this quote because Cassie is saying when her grandmother died all her experiences, when dealing with witches and other issue where all gone nobody except her grandma knew how to solve the problemss.
