Deep Down Popular, by Phoebe Stone, is a very touching book that really teaches you a lesson. Everyone should read this book. It is on how a girl is being pre-judged because of her appearance. I really like this book and would 
re- read it in a heartbeat.
The story shows how a girl, named Jessie Lou, is being judged because of her appearance. This story takes place in West Taluka Falls She is very shy and likes a boy named Conrad, but can’t open up to him. He is one of the coolest and most popular kids in school. But later on in the story, that seems to adjust. Things just start to change and ends up in Jessie’s favor.
There are some good key ideas in Deep Down Popular. For example, Phoebe Stone uses really good symbolism in the novel. She uses a girl's shyness throughout the whole book to show how Jesse opens up daily. Also, Stone uses first person point of view to let the readers see Jessie’s story from her side of the story. Phoebe Stone includes a very touching mood. It really gets to me and it shows me to never be ashamed of who you are.
I really liked this book.  It made me sort of feel as if I was in the story and I was living this book. Overall, my thoughts on this book were really good. I really enjoyed everything the author included in this book to make this book what it is now. I really appreciate this book and definitely got something out of this book.
