Mj Movie/Book report/review

“ If we burn.. YOU WILL BURN WITH US!” shouts Katniss, the face of the mockingjay, as they film a propaganda to show the other districts of what the capital has done. They bombed an innocent hospital after Katniss was there to remember what shes fighting for. Katniss has started an uprising from all the districts against the capitol. Her goal is to kill snow, for all that hes done to her, to her family, to her home, and to everybody else in the world he has caused pain for. At this moment Peetah and Annie is being tortured by the capitol, under snow’s command, to torture Katniss and Finnick who was rescued from the capitol and now in an underground district 13. Each day Peetah looks more hurt, driving Katniss to her knees. Also the heavy and sad feeling when seeing your district burned to the ground, everything you remember gone, the bones of people, your people, their bones everywhere u step. The book gave more detail and feeling to the reader the movie had allot of interesting scenes to make you feel the characters pain. But the movie was a little different from the book. It didn't have all that the book did meaning some things were changed and people that wasn't mentioned in the book was in the movie. Reading the book before the movie helps you to understand more and get the movie more.
In the movie there was many scenes that weren’t in the book. In the movie there was a different feeling. It felt more lighter than the book. President coin wasn’t as mean and not as scary as the book had said she was, she looked more nice and she was more sweet. When boggs came out i thought he was going to be a white person but he was a african american guy. He looked like a good leader and he was a really good character choice for that role. When the scene that katniss, gale and the camera crew go to the river for filming i pictured the avox to be more sad. He looked really happy and bright. In the book when there at the river and katniss sings for the mocking jays the avox cried and the birds stopped their whistling. In the movie the avox laughs and smiles when katniss sings and the birds kept whistling. The moment felt like a happy moment when in reality its a depressing and sad moment. But the way they used her singing hanging tree was a good idea because it helped district 13 and gave them a little extra time to evacuate. The movie did help  get a better idea of how peetah looked in pain. The Movie really made a difference in his appearance. The movie really showed in detail that Peetah was really getting tortured. It showed how beaten he was physically and mentally.
In the book Katniss had more anger and pain in her. She would resist to be the mockingjay, always do the opposite of what’s told but at the same time she really wanted to kill president Snow. The vibes from the movie wasn’t that she was in as much pain as thought to be. The book will always be more detailed because of how the story is told and you can read the characters thoughts, rather than a movie where most movies are based on a book or a common story. This means that the people who decided to make the movie, film and product in the movie could have changed some details or change what happens and cuts out some parts of the original story. Just like the Mockingjay story. There were a few changes like how in the book it has a whole part about Katniss’s makeup crew. The part was about katniss saving her two makeup artists from being in the dungeon and their the one who shows Katniss Cinna’s book with all the designs he had for when Katniss became the Mockingjay. However in the movie there is no site or news of Katniss’s makeup crew. Instead of her two prep team they viewed Effie as having second thoughts about her being in district 13 because of their lack of fashion and of when shes forced to wear. Effie’s part must have took the prep teams place because she was mostly about the fashion and how she would wear things to make her stand out just like the book said the two makeup crew members kept getting looked at for their sense of fashion and their thoughts on beautiful, there for they really stood out in district 13.
In this case.In order to get a more detailed visual and to understand why certain things are happening is to read the book first and then to watch the movie. The book may give you a better look at the storyline and why things happen and reveals you to some little details you would wonder about in the movie. When reading the book if the situation is visualizing what is really happening then later watching the movie can help with understanding events that was questioned before. The book was a little more better then the movie due to how much you can fit in the book. Thats one reason why they cut out scenes. In the book there will be questions but the questions will eventually be answered later in the book. The book gave a more heavy feeling. The feeling was supposed to be heavy because of what's happening. Dying is easy but living is hard. The book explains how Katniss with all her might just wants to leave this horrible world that has corrupted. To live and save the next generation and to make the literally the world a different place with peace so the people that is next to come does not need to go thru the pain the people, the families, and all the districts went threw. Read the book before watching the movie for better understandings.
