In Gayle Forman's, Just One Day, I found myself lost in the pages, unable to stir from my comfy bed. I love this book; the romance was suspenseful yet lovely. The protagonist, Allyson, meets by chance Willem, and after spending one day with him is head over heals. Allyson and Willems relationship keeps the reader interested and wishful. The story, Just One Day, portrays both clarity and escape.

Just One Day is an extremely simple yet enjoyable read. The author was clear throughout the entire story. The setting is limited to Paris, helping keep the story easy to understand. Most of the dialogue is between Willem and Allyson. This frees the reader to get to know the characters well and have creative imagery. It was nice to relax and dig into an easy read without have to focus too hard.

Since Just One Day is such an effortless read, it makes it easy to get swept into the story. By page twenty I felt like I was Allyson dealing with her life. At the end of the story when Willem disappeared It seemed like the love of my life just left me because I identified so much with her character. There was also parts in the story that were humors which made the novel more likable.

Overall, I recommend Just One Day to women interested in an inspirational romance. It sends out a clear and positive message about being a strong and independent women. It offers hope and faith that love can be just one train ride away.
