The Pain
The girl wakes up insecure every day
The hurt ties her up in chains and does not let go
Always wonders how to act and what to say
This is a war she´s fought and has come to know
They have made her think she will never fit in
The girl truly believes she will never be enough
She feels uncomfortable under her skin
Again, she looks in the mirror and gives up
Not a single soul dares to tell her
Nobody can speak those strange, forbidden words
Everybody ignores the need to save her
They´re blind and lost under their own concerns
She´s crying, dying, done faking, and pretending
Soon, she´ll take no more and lie alone on her floor
She´s screaming, shouting, and feels as if she´s dying
This girl knows they´ll regret starting the war
One day they´ll all look back and notice the lies
The word pain was clearly written in her eyes
