Love Returning
Blue veins like spider webs visible under her pale moon skin
That curve in her cheeks as she tries not to smile
Her rapidly beating heart and the secrets within.
Dear me this feeling has been gone awhile
But it’s rushing back like dog to its master
Foggy mind and dilating eyes
Standing open I pray for the love to reach me faster
Sadness decomposes and hope begins to rise
The roundabout spins and this planet rotates
All I want is back again let’s see if it will stay
I work hard but in the end it’s up to the fates
time will show me whether to fight or run away
When it comes to love I have no preference of gender
to adore and be with someone you love, oh what splendour!
