A Reader's Gift
Readers have a gift, a power,
That many fail to comprehend
We can use it at any hour
To help our hearts to mend
The life of a reader is mine to love
As the words come to life,
It is as glorious as the heavens above
The words I read destroy my heart's strife
Books make my soul fly
They make my smile shine
Without them I would die
A world with no books sounds as awful as brine
Now you can see,
How much books mean to me.
