If the future's never promised
why do we have dreams?
If no one thinks we'll make it
why do we still believe?
If the presents just a portion
of this thing we call life,
why can it cause us
to feel so much strife?
If the past is behind us
but the memories still stay,
how can people tell us
to forget our mistakes?
We believe we will make it.
We learn from our wrongs.
We know we'll move forward,
cause we know where we belong.
