Heaven
Have you ever seen a gold field so bright?
Hills undulating, blowing seas of green
Clouds, like sheep, streak across the sky in fright
Crawling across the floor creep bugs unseen
Sun dance moon in a game never ending
Nightingale sings its sweetest sudden song
Flowers look towards the sun, stems are bending
Two lovers have been in a field all along
Up get they in the cycle eternal
Death happy they after living so sad
Parents, thought they, their love is so infernal
In robes of beautiful gold, they are clad
But ‘tis a despairing death mark-ed dream
For curtains close this fair scene it would seem
