Small Things
I wish you the happiest mother’s day
For all you’ve done you deserve at least that
So here’s a few things that I want to say…
You might feel looked over like a door mat
I might tell you sometimes that quite slow
That you always overlook little things
But my love for you will forever show
It’s the small things that repent misgivings
Have you noticed that I worry for you?
I cherish you more than I do myself
It’s these small things I believe you’ve looked through
To make things clear, you must read this yourself
You’re not only my mom; you’re my best friend,
And I will love you to the very end
