Don't You See? You're Hurting Me
Don't you see, you're hurting me,
I may look like I don't care
and like I just want to leave you there
but on the inside, I'm terrified.
I know that I betrayed your trust
and now your life is all a fuss
but don't you see you're angry tears and hatefull words just make me scared to care
It makes me want to walk away
so that I don't get bullied everyday
but then where would my old pal be,
struggling on through the chaotic sea?
But even though you say you want me to fight
I feel rejected and as though I fail every time I try
even though you expect me to fight
how can I when I'm kicked off the flight?
I know I should be working harder
and maybe on the inside I don't hurt as much as I otta
but I'm still working on the fight not flight and I'll get there as
soon as I figure out how to help your fight.
But if you still want me here
don't bring me down to tears just cause you're already there.
It won't help your narrow minded fight,
it'll just break your friend who you see as a knight.
It'll end your hope and break your heart
and that's not how you're going to want to fall apart.
You're friend will cry and then you will die slowly inside
as she is slowly pushed to her point.
Then she will break like a piece of glass shattering on the pavement.
All at once she'll be gone and you'll realise that you're wrong,
your words did hurt your friend on the inside.
