Hate The Way You Lie
Once upon a time I knew every line of
"Love The Way You Lie"
But there was no reference point
Now I may not remember all the words
But I know the truth of every line is
Indicated by the ridge in my spine when you
Pass by
My heart is twisted and slouched, unable to depend
Lean on the verity of your words
Nothing I can vouch for, not even sure I can mend
From the arrows you have shot me down with
Arrows embedded within me
Arrows I did not know how to deflect, and am now
Stuck with
As the lies you tell mingle with truths
And I cannot tell the night from day
When you say you're leaving, does that mean you'll stay?
Did I think that loving you would make it all okay?
But loving you and you not loving me
Not loving me enough to stop
Hurting me
Is not enough to take this awful pain away
When you erase the name written next to yours
And pretend mine was there all along
You lie like I'm blind and I can't see that
It's my friend you're hitting on
And I hate that
I hate the way you lie
But I can't stop loving you
