Looking in the mirror
To see another person.
Somethings so unclear
I need to draw the curtain.
Consumed by a monster
Who’s claiming to be me,
I can not win this fight
I’m closer to retreat.
Awkward in my skin
The monster is within.
Found in my mind,
A voice that is not mine
A thunderous tone
Overpowering all,
A voice so strong,
Standing so tall.
Flip on the switch
Turning on the light
Relieve the hitch
Stuck to fright
It’s just a voice
Use your might
It’s just a shadow
You’ll win this fight.
