Made of Stone
My world, a chaotic mess-disaster;
My heart, mummified and dead-
And me, I’m made of stone.
People don’t understand me,
They don’t and won’t accept….
Because I’m made of stone.
Of stone? Of hurt and pain and anger;
Of injustice and abuse and mistakes.
That is why I’m made of stone.
Hurt by the ones I most trusted,
Pained by the ones I most loved,
And angered by the unfairness.
Injustice to the highest degree,
Abused in the harshest way;
And a mistake that was never supposed to happen.
That is why I am made of stone.
A memory for those that go after me-
A painful one, but there for all to see.
I am made of stone.
