psyche
reality
as i decompose
the world falls around me
am i the only one left
standing?
i could not bear to know
responsibility
was always something i had lacked
in a post apocalyptic mindset
this will do me no good
stability
was never a virtue
back on track
a fast track to the future
which might as well
not even exist
in the present tense
as well as past
but past present future
all tenses are substantial
and arbitrary tellers of time
misfortune, opportunity
most will never even know
the effects these parasites have
sucking the life out of my precious
sense of morality
and the future collapses upon itself
once again
