I tell myself i make a difference
I tell myself I stand out
I tell myself people notice me
I tell myself that if I went away people would miss me
I tell myself people listen to me
I tell myself people will never forget my name
I tell myself people depend on me
I never believe myself
Until
One day
Someone said
“I like your shoes”
Small gesture, I know
But someone noticed
Someone noticed
Noticed
Seeing something small that no one Might notice at all
Being kind to someone can mean more Than you think
Lift them up
Don't let them sink
