Thou may think of me as desired, to idolize or villanize me whichever you may choose. but gaze upon me and thou sall not see the husk of a man! for all my sins and all my bliss, i am anything but hollow <br /> -Ansem_Unlimited

What does it mean to be human? To have Mercy? All inside a world where mercy is all too scarce, perhaps it doesn’t exist. We are in a dark time when brotherly slaughter is second nature, where we hurt each other all the time without knowing. Hearts are broken for the sake of breaking, and lies are spoken for the sake of lying. Everyone speaks but no one listens. Love is but a tool while friends are bought and sold like products. Reality is all too distant as we mindlessly scurry about selling our souls and bottling our hearts, but who stands to truly see the world? And who shall stand to ask them what they see? For soon we will become as evil as our actions and as heartless as our lies.
I wonder, does it hurt to not have a heart?

this is a piece regarding the darker side of society where those who lack a boundary of what they'll give their soul for, end up at the top of the world. so i ask you, what would you do, in exchange for your humanity?

SO this is true poetic pro? I never knew :P Sorry. I think you commented one of my poems saying it was similar to you poetic pro and I looked it up a lot and still couldn't  get it. Whoops so I decided I was gonna ask you. But now I GET IT! Yay! PLUS AS TO THE CONTENT: I totally agree with you. And this poem has such amazing phrases voiced exactly the way I would say them that in some places I even felt like I was hearing myself speak! wow. Also love the way the last line is a rhetorical question. ahaha mostly people pay close attention to first lines but nowadays I've been paying a lot of attention to last lines because it occured to me how the last note you leave a person on is usually the one that leaves an imprint. HEY I think I might actually write about this! Gotta rush. See ya soon. Love always, Saphira.

I think this is awesome - I love when poems deal with the darker side of humanity, especially because - you're right - that part of the world is the most powerful (and always has been, unfortunately). I think the idea  could be really great tranformed into a rhythmic poem - you've got some phrases in there that would sound great put into a more structured prose. But, even still, as a free-verse poem, I think it's awesome. Great work! :)
