I need affection
I have not seen your face,
under anything but the hallway apartment
lights that run with a sick buzzing
late at night.
I have only heard your voice,
In a craving whisper,
Fast and flowing with the smell of
Liquor and desperation on your lips.
I know you only know me as the girl with
Smeared lipstick and need for
Affection,
But I look at you with dark eyes and beg
For you to see that I am more
Than an all you can eat buffet.
