Taking a trip to the future,
There are so many places I could go,
But this place would be my number one choice for sure.
In this past time,
there’s a music note fence leading the way
to a big white house with many rooms of glorious color,
and enjoyable entertainment.
He’ll be there in this vast home,
Maybe in the kitchen,
Preparing himself one of his favorites;
Peanut butter and banana sandwiches.
Or perhaps he’ll be in his jungle room
Enjoying the beautiful scenery of vines on the walls.
His music room,
He could be there too,
Playing his grand piano;
Perhaps writing a new song.
Maybe he’ll teach me to play,
For I’ve always wanted to learn!
I’ll go to his concerts with him,
Where teenage girls go head over heels,
For his gyrating hips and attractive good looks;
He is the king of rock and roll after all!
I’ll go back to this time,
Not just for myself,
But for her,
My aunt up in heaven.
Our plans of visiting his amazing home after graduation,
were devastatingly cut short,
for cancer came and took her away from me.
But I will go back in time someday,
And meet him just for her.
I will get his autograph,
And bring it back to her,
To the time before she passed.

This is a poem I just wrote for another creative writing assignment. If you could go back in time, where would you go? Who would you see? I, obviously, chose Elvis Presley. Enjoy :)

Oh wow!  That just made my day.  Thank you so much.  You really should.  It really was such a fun poem for me to write because there are so many places to go back to.  I mean you could go back to the 60's, the 80's, or just any time period!  It was really fun to write, especially because I know it would mean a lot to my aunt, if she were still alive.

Aw, well thank you so much.  This poem really means a lot to me.  It really means a lot to me that you, and others appreciate it.

Well, I was given an assignment in my creative writing class to pick a time to go back to.  I am a huge fan of Elvis Presley and so was my aunt, whom passed away when I was in the second grade.  Her and I had made plans to go visit Graceland for my Graduation, which is this year, but she passed away before we got the chance to go.  She was a very important person in my life and I still plan on going to Graceland for her.  But I was thinking that it would be even better if I could go back in time for her.
