I Take Back My Tears MAG

I take back my tears
the wasted years
I spent crying
for what never could happen
I take back my heart
my shattered heart
Up off the ground
and back in my arms
I take back my hope
wasted on you
and toss it aside
for it has no meaning now
Nothing you say
no words
no songs
can heal the bleeding wound
That you opened again and again
I walk a free woman
held by nothing of yours
and fly away free
as free as the wind

Such a wonderful poem! It reminds me exactly of a relationship that I was in and how much I loved that young man. That wound is still in the healing process. Keep up the great work and never let anyone tell you that you're not a great writer.

A year ago I would've said this was about me and my BF. Now he's my ex but only because we both agreed to wait and see if we could last as just friends until we were older. Thank you for posting this. It's well written heartfelt articles like this that help me keep my sanity or lose it.
