I Take Back My Tears MAG
I take back my tears
the wasted years
I spent crying
for what never could happen
I take back my heart
my shattered heart
Up off the ground
and back in my arms
I take back my hope
wasted on you
and toss it aside
for it has no meaning now
Nothing you say
no words
no songs
can heal the bleeding wound
That you opened again and again
I walk a free woman
held by nothing of yours
and fly away free
as free as the wind

This poem is sooooo relatable! I honestly love it!This is how I felt recently when I gave up on someone who I've liked for a long time. I realized that they weren't worth my time anylonger. No amount of apologies or songs that he writes will make me forgive him-he just kept hurting me again and again. It's nice to feel independent and to be your own person. No person deserves to be ignored and heart broken. This poem spoke volumns to me-Thank you and keep writing! :)
