It was a sad day for us all
because it was almost fall
My friends and I were still outside
playing on the slide
the weather was still hot
but in a few weeks it would not
Once our mother's arrived to pick us up
they gathered us in a hurry
They took a picture of us all, hoping it wasn't blurry
