Seeing Me
My society sees me as wild and crazy
The government sees me as another person to pay for
The school system sees me as a kid to not forget to leave behind
The principal sees me as a trouble-maker
The teacher sees me as a long-shot
The coach sees me as number two
My classmates see me as the rumors that fly
The boys see me as boobs and a butt
The girls see me as unwanted competition
My neighbors see me as loud
The haters see me as a topic
My parents see me as a drama queen
My younger siblings see me as a meanie
My older siblings see me as a nuisance
My twin sees me as a copy-cat
My friends see me as a drag
My crush sees me as obsessive
My boyfriend sees me as a virgin
The boy living up the street sees me as a little girl.
Strangers see me as disturbing
The elderly see me as disrespectful
My boss sees me as lazy
My employer sees me as inexperienced
Shop-keepers see me as a shifty thief
The police see me as a criminal-in-the-making
Firemen see me as a smoker
Doctors see me as a health problem
Fast food workers see me as fat
Pedophiles see me as a chance
Pharmacists see me as a drug addict
Drug dealers see me as a screw-up teenager
If all these people see things like that,
then, how can you expect me to see
beauty?
