"The poets have been mysteriously silent on the subject of cheese." -Gilbert K. Chesterton

Sweet, beautiful, deathly quiet
As raindrops streak down my window, I am reminded of tears
I see a frail old man at his wife's funeral
I see a recently orphaned little girl
I see a rapist getting capital punishment
I see the KKK beating a colored man to death
I see Nazis burning thousands of Jews in gas chambers
I see the angel of death sweeping away the first- born Egyptians
I see hunderds or more patriots dying for our freedom
I see little children diagnosed with cancer whose bodies just give up
I see the Boston Massacre
I see Jack the Ripper
I see death
I see sad and bloody and violent death
And the death I see with every sleeping moment makes me never want to close my eyes again

We are learning about the Boston Massacre in school, which of course made me write this poem.

This poem is delightly sad, I can see the pain written within these words and along these lines are the details that can bring tears to anyones eyes, and these are all real or realistically real. 5/5 please read and comment on some of my recent poems
