Lucky Number 7
A light which shone
Helped me know where to finally call a place my own.
From north to south to east to west
I have finally ended my very long quest
To find a home in which to stay
Until underneath the ground I lay
This place I came when snow coated the ground
Is a wondrous place I luckily found.
Born though I was in Indiana
I am not a Colts fan like my nana
I have lived in too many places you see,
To have very much loyalty.
South Carolina is next on the map
Though at that age I usually took a long nap
I had a great time at Myrtle Beach way back when
But now I only go back every now and then.
Tornado Valley is a scary place to be
This made Wichita, Kansas horrible for me
At school we had tornado drills which nobody was very keen
Luckily, though, there was not a tornado to be seen.
Chattanooga, Tennessee
Is a very beautiful place to be
When the leaves turn color in the fall
The mountains make the scenery look great over all.
North Carolina was not very fun
It was a place from which we wanted to run
The nine months we were there were the worst yet
Which is why we did not stay set.
School was great in a place called Kentucky
Although I am sad we never went to the derby
Here was where I got Meeko, my pet
A sugar glider that is worth more than any bet.
At last I arrive at a school so great
The students made a place for me to set down my plate
When I arrived I was only eleven
Which brings me here, to lucky number seven.
