My Bird
My birds feathers are as blue as the living ocean,
His wings cause an eclipse in my heart as he spreads his wings and absorbs the light of my soul,
His eyes are as black as the nights sky surrounded by a beautiful gray band that holds all my dreams and aspirations,
My bird takes fight quickly beside me like my ever moving guardian shadow,
If harm ever came my birds way I would raise my arms and fight to the death for him, for if he could he would do the same,
My bird stands tall with glorious pride of his ever living future,
Because my bird is not simply a pet,
He is an equal, a companion, A friend…
My bird is my heart and soul this is my foregone conclusion,
For Blake will never be forgotten…And this I know… is no illusion.
