Darkness isn't worthy of the sun. The closest it gets is in my shadow. The same shadow that has followed me around since I was little. He has grown as I have. He has followed me around for many a year. He has walked in my footsteps as I was to walk in yours.

He is the only one that truly knows how I feel, and I envy him for that because I can't even comprehend how I'm feeling at times. He's not all bad. He isn't just darkness. That's why he's allowed to move around to get out of the light and, if need be, hide inside my person to get away from the light.

May I sustain your hunger, O dark one? May I strengthen the will inside? Follow me and you will be saved. Help me in life and I'll forever hide you from the light. I will take on the light for you.
If you shan't stay with me, I will be light. If you've hidden from me, I am light.

I will be light.
