Change
It's good, inspiring
Or so they say.
Yet, tears roll down my face
I liked you the old way
When you:
Smiled with your eyes
Hugged like it was our last goodbye
Held back your tears when you wanted to cry.
When you didn't act that much like a guy.
I hate that you're:
Cocky, egotistical
Arrogant, superficial
Like I'm a waste of your time.
When Change comes along
Friendships shouldn't be compromised.
Just when I think you'll never be the same,
I see a glimpse of the old you
And my pain fades away
