Matching MAG
My family does not match
we are polka dot and striped
reds and yellows
greens and browns
We live in our own ways
dancing through time
to our own rhythms
pound-pounding the earth
with our heartbeats
as music
Some of us hide
in empty corners
dreamer in the sunlit mist
while others crowd
in busy streets
to shout out our words
to the world
We are
round holes and square pegs
refusing to be molded
But at the same time
we are more than chaos
for we may not match
but then
neither does
the rainbow
