Postcards from La La Land
So, yesterday
you liked to ignore me
Friends or enemies?
I know by tomorrow you’ll
have changed your mind again
I realize you only do it for the attention
but you also like the fame
You don’t have to tell me where
the rest of the world went
Believe me, I have no clue
I don’t even care anyway
Heartless, my dress soaked to the skin
and the streetlamp doesn’t shine brighter
than the way you smile
But, you always light matches
to blow them out
I’m a loser really, because
I know this dream is my get-out
I should’ve checked my rear view mirror
when I saw you in my mind
But who’d have known?
Who’d have known?
