i am one foot in,
one foot out,
of a no win situation.

eyes blinded by trickery,
and my words mocked by voices in the shadows,
like the shadows of hell,
their mystery holds no mercy on my soul.

lost in darkness with no escape but down,
the shadows call my name.

wandering,
walking,
away,
but to where?

darkness engulfs me,
no light to be seen,
only shadows in the distance of what i used to be.

thoughts escape my mind,
now i am alone,
and darkness fills my soul.

still walking,
trying to find my way,
i pass myself,
and laugh in vain of who i used to be.
