I sat and i thought

What would happen if we had never fought

The men in front of me Tired and brave would be home

Not alone in the desert fighting for oil

Not living a life of toil

Five men i was with each exhausted and plain

I sat there and drew them

I was tired of this game

Every generation has its war

But not mine

Fathers and sons have fought the same war

And for what

Oil not freedom

We don’t fight for that anymore

I look at the men hungry and bored

As i look to my book i see what i record

Five men away from there families

Five men in agony clinging to there humanity

And when they come home there is no hospitality

Just brutality
