Sediment
I am complete.
I enclose myself in a shell
That protects me from the harsh surroundings of my Earth
There is a cool feeling surrounding me
The ripple of time and briny liquid drowns me
I lose myself
I am a part of a whole
And I sense a fracture in my shell
The space fills with passionate, dancing wind
I attempt to grasp the other’s hands
But I lose myself yet again
I am half of a whole
My shell is still present
I feel an ocean drop on top of me
The space is tight and hot
A piece of me gets lost in the chaos
I am barely a whole
I look through the crevice of my shell
And see a yellow monster with claws
That towers over me with long, sharp teeth
The cold, keen metal shatters me
I am a sediment.
