Three little drabbles
I have never felt so alive
In a world that is make believe
Filled with fairy tales and myths
And childlike wonder
Where the stars fall from the sky
And land in cupped hands
Where books are tomes filled with ancient magic
And potions and poisons are brewed
Where princesses pick up a sword
And swing with all their might
The crown always sits heavy upon the head
Glimmering with jewels and pearls
Golden and shining
Only listening to those of royal blood
Who dress in finest silks and furs
And embellish themselves with earth’s treasures
Slender, lithe little things
With hair that looks of spun silver
Skin as pale as stars
With the grace of cat
And the soul of a thousand
They live deep in the woods
With bows made of branches
And eyes of turquoise blue
