The Meaning of Life
A lonely maid, a-wandering
Once stopped and sat, a-pondering.
Do beetles on a mission go?
Or springtime flowers want to grow?
No answer could her mind create,
She started to perseverate.
The meaning of life, abounding
The sound of a song, resounding.
A hundred years she sat, she thought.
All time was lost, none passed that spot
When she woke from that reverie,
Screamed, "I've lost all that's dear to me!"
The moral of my simple tune,
Is 'the future is coming soon.'
Live life right now, let no time pass,
For no man stops the hourglass.
