Far Past Summer
Lips bit raw and shuttered blue
in the months of deep cold,
where flurries performed ballets and
ice slept upon everything.
In the months of deep cold,
cheeks blushed crimson and
ice slept upon everything
as the wind taught the trees to dance.
Cheeks blushed crimson and
teardrops froze in place
as the wind taught the trees to dance
to the owl’s late night howl.
Lips bit raw and shuttered blue.
Tear drops froze in place,
to the owl’s late night howl
and where flurries performed ballets.
