Another
Another night,
Hello moon,
She promised it,
She would be back soon.
Sitting in,
Her love bought room,
Wind kisses her cheek,
It missed her too.
Dressed in pink satin,
Lined in eyelet lace,
Reflection through her crystal window,
Illuminates her face.
Sitting perfectly still,
In he exact same place,
Eyes searching the world,
Mind lost in a haze.
Cool city air,
Caresses her body,
She sings to herself,
Quietly, calmly.
She closes her eyes,
Takes it all in,
Whispers to herself,
Let it begin.
The voice of an angel,
Such a beautiful child,
Words like magic,
She forces a smile.
Abrupt noise in the hall,
She muffles a shriek,
Shuts her window,
Dives under the sheets.
Twist of a handle,
Pulling of a door,
Eyes filled with hunger,
Not ready, for sure.
