I Live
I live to hear his breathing
Feel the rise and fall of his chest
Our intermingled bodies
The comfort his arms suggest.
I live to taste his kisses,
Leaving me breathless and gasping for air
Letting my body fall numb
Collapsing into shock
As my knees beneath me buckle
And my body starts to rock
I live to feel his hand
Skim my forehead gently
Tucking my hair behind my ear
As if too much pressure could break me
I live for his fingers to lift my chin
And his face pressed to mine
The feel of his velvet lips
Exploring every part alive
I live to see him smile
His eyes outline my face
The promises they hold
Gods guarantee of fate.
I live to hold his hand
Our fingers interlaced
The only touch that sends
Love pulsing through my veins
