Smoothies
It's more than just a drink. A smoothie is a refreshing tart mixture of luscious strawberries, tasty bananas, and a plethora of other fruits. The fruits, vegetables, yogurts, and juices used are flavorful enough to spice up anyone's day. There is a myriad of combinations that can be used to make delicious drinks. Add anything you desire to the recipe. Smoothies are like a blizzard for your mouth on a hot summer's day. My favorite time to drink smoothies is after a long three mile run or when I come home from soccer practice. I devour them usually, but after long run I cherish them even more. I taste the zest of the citrus fruits, the tartness of the berries, and the creamy, frosty yogurt. The sweet yet tangy drink is delightful. It is hard to believe that a drink so delicious is healthy for you as well. The first time I had a smoothie was when I was ten years old. I remember the explosion of different flavored in my mouth that somehow blended into one unique taste. I have loved to make smoothies ever since that day.
