The Dark Overwhelms
You don't notice until it's too late
The spiral into darkness is slow
One day Love, now Hate
The answer to You can do it becomes
No
Reality develops rips and tears
Common sense slinks away
You're overwhelmed by cares
A mast in a storm you
Sway
It comes dark and creeping
As you stumble blind
For a while it was sleeping
Now awake it seizes your
Mind
You see the folly only now
Your happiness is ripped
Misery moistens your brow and
You realize, too late, that you have
Slipped
