Silhouettes
Silhouettes
Quiet pale sunrise
Bursting bright sunsets
The calm blue you find midday, mixed in-between
But always the silhouettes
Even in the black of night
Some things can never be saved
Nature alone is genuine
Begin to scratch away the stains
Rub away the ink
Revealing the true colors hidden beneath the skin
Color it in
Plan it out
Create a mask
A terrible disguise
Show the world what you want them to see
Create a lasting image, framed forever
Leave the secrets
The untold stories
The tiny mistakes
Blot them out
And leave it blank
An empty space
A silhouette
Some things aren’t meant to be seen
