Jealousy occurs from the lack of maturity,
And the rising reactions from an insecurity.
Jealousy is a hostile state of mind,
Where your best friend can stab you from behind.
It occurs when you leave behind an old friend,
And with the new crowd, you try to defend.
It’s the green-eyed monster,
That causes you to want her-
Just for the fact,
You want to see how he will react.
Jealousy grows like a demonic plant,
Where you jump for joy, when you have something he can’t.
This evil thing called jealousy
Makes you see what you want to be.
Like the skinny girl you love to hate-
Makes you want to lose some weight.
Just about everything he or she flaunts,
Is what you really, really want.
It makes you want to be like him,
Working out furiously at the gym-
Just to be the one she prefers.
But in the end he always conquers.
It’s what makes you guard her with armed forces,
Only resulting in bitter divorces.
It makes you hate when others get advances,
In romance and finances.
Jealousy is something we should all hate,
But in the end it’s always fate.
