You'd Be King (Found Poem)
Before the story begins,
Can I tell you something?
Be careful what you wish for...
Once upon a time,
I wanted to rule the world.
Then somebody ran and asked,
"What to be king?"
All possibilities came true.
Roman Cavalry choirs sung
When I gave the world.
"Long live the king!"
An angry soul comes back
"I took all possibility from you."
He threw water on my flame
And stole my star.
My kingdom won't call my name.
I walk down the streets
I used to own.
I held the key
But no one would let me in...
I've got to go
Make a new start.
Before I leave
Until the end of time,
Let me warn you...
When the fire dies,
It's not over...
It's just begun.
