Ode (in couplets) to Mister Reese
When you had an epiphany seventy-nine years ago,
There was something that you didn’t know.
A girl in the year two-thousand and seven,
Would be blessing your kind soul up in Heaven.
Oh how her blue eyes would shine
as she ate that candy so devine.
Oui, Monsieur Maupassant, vous me fâites peur.
And are these literary terms really necessary to learn?
I could be asleep in my in big down comforter
But instead Mr. Reese helps me be smarter.
I cannot rhyme although I try
But now I must finish this work before I cry.
