Laser Lights and Disco Nights
Thunder resounds, an echo of the future.
Too quickly, time flees and the storm approaches.
Saturday I sat and watched the television turn in cycles,
Game show, reality, Date my mom.
Knowledge rains as the truth drowns my brain.
Youth is fleeing.
You say we think we’re invincible
Well we are.
Gravity has prevented us all from growing up
And we’ve all grown down instead.
Forever invincible at seventeen.
