So Long Savior
Snow slowly falling
Swirling swiftly through the air
Landing on a stiff sheet of seared sand
Held by the stout slave driver
Students standing side by side
Staring at the snow
Stranded in an institute
Supposed to save their souls
Stardust falling on their scarlet noses’
Shaking and shimmying through the sky
Outstretched hands
Longing to grasp the falling flakes
Students longing to seize the speedballs
Instructors snatching them away
Surely missing the surge from snow
But no longer have a say
