Your Love
I wonder when I look at you,
“What’s really going on?”
And I know you’ve told me some of it,
But part of you is gone.
I just want to take you in my arms
And talk your hurt away,
But once I think I’ve got you close,
You never seem to stay.
I don’t know what I mean to you,
Or if I’m getting through.
But one thing that I’ve learned in life
Is it’s easier in two’s.
You heard these words from me daily,
And then again some more.
But if they were not full of truth,
What would I say them for?
I love you with all of my heart,
And so many others, too.
And the one who deserves your love the most
Is the one and only you.
