She's beautiful
Her golden braids fell across my face
her eyes shone brighter than the stars
If she wasn't there I wouldn't be able to take my place
On earth I would feel like I'm lost in Mars
She starts to wake
I watch the dark colors begin to fade
In its place
comes many shades of yellow, orange and red
just looking at her you'll be lost in her maze
She brings the life to my kids
Even if the wicked witch
tries to make my lady do the splits
one look at her she forgets to pull the switch
before returning to her home
for hours she combs
her rays across my land
to leave a message
"I'll be back soon"
said the sun.
