Stardust Settles
Madalyn is spinning round
While bits of stardust fly.
Onto her head they go,
Curling up in her brown hair,
Making it shimmer.
She remembers a long time ago,
They told her no
At her audition.
But that was a long,
Long time ago.
"And I am a star."
She tells herself confidently.
Because she is,
There in the moonlight.
Joey likes it too.
"Mad, I ain't never seen ya
So lovely
In all a my years."
And Stardust Settles,
A pink twirly dress.
