Will You?
I'm waiting, hoping, praying,
Thinking all along,
And wondering when and where we'll meet,
An what will be "Our Song?"
Will your eyes sparkle and dance as we plan,
For a future all about "we?"
Will you cry as I walk down the isle,
Ready to give myself completeley?
As we say our vows "till death do us part,"
And our lips meet sealing this sacred form of art.
As you glance upon out first born child,
And play as the babe grows to a toddler,
Will you still look upon me with love in your eyes,
And continue to be a loving father?
When we are old and grey,
will you still love me,
as you did that first day?
As I sit here and ponder all the things we could be,
I hope to look up,
And see you staring straight at me.
